Many people feel unsure about massage. Let me go through what to expect step by step.
The state of Texas requires that medical information be gathered to see if there is any contraindication to receiving a massage. A release form is also required to inform you of your rights.
A diagram of the human body is offered to show any symptoms you may be experiencing or to indicate areas that you may NOT want massaged. I do not massage the breast or groin areas or the center of the buttocks. Your signature shows that this information was provided to you before your massage began.
I ask questions about any information that needs further explanation and listen to your concerns. I explain that if you are uncomfortable at any time, let me know and I shall adjust my technique or end the massage as you see fit. I explain that there is a difference between tenderness and actual pain. If there is ANY PAIN I need to know immediately so that adjustments can be made to your massage session.
